Svitlana V. Anderson is an attorney licensed to practice in New Mexico and the founder of Azalea IP Law, an intellectual property law firm established in 2024. She focuses her practice on trademark, copyright, and other intellectual property matters, helping individuals, startups, and established businesses protect and leverage their creative and intellectual property assets.
Before founding her firm, for more than a decade, Svitlana was advising clients on domestic and international trademark portfolios, copyright protection, licensing, and IP enforcement.Her background includes extensive work supporting inventors, startups, and established businesses in developing and protecting their IP assets from initial concept through commercialization.
Originally from Ukraine, Svitlana received her Ukrainian J.D. from Odessa National Academy of Law, after earning Bachelor of Arts-equivalent degrees in Law from both the College of Law at Nikolaev Pedagogical Institute and the Ukrainian Financial Economic Institute in Kyiv. After relocating to the United States, she earned her U.S. J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she worked in the Business and Tax Clinic, assisting local entrepreneurs.
Svitlana is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico and has served as Director and Chair of the Intellectual Property Section (Chair 2020, 2022; Co-Chair 2025). She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, Svitlana brings a global perspective to her practice and a passion for helping clients navigate complex intellectual property issues.
